We didn't set out to build software. We set out to fix how solar companies run their day-to-day operations.
Our Story
CandelaOps started on job sites — not in a tech incubator. After years of managing solar installations with spreadsheets, disconnected apps, and too many phone calls, we decided there had to be a better way.
We looked at every construction management tool on the market. Some handled projects well but couldn't touch payroll. Others tracked time but had no concept of Davis-Bacon or prevailing wage. None of them understood the full picture of running a solar operation — from pulling permits to processing certified payroll.
So we built it ourselves. Every feature in CandelaOps exists because someone on a job site or in an office needed it. No feature was added because it looked good on a slide deck.
